Terms & Conditions – Fable (v.202503)

1. Scope of Services

Fable provides consultancy services in:

  • Management development

  • Storytelling training

  • Storythinking strategies

  • Culture and people development

  • Project-based consulting

  • Media production

Services are available to both businesses and individuals.

2. Engagement Model & Payment Terms

  • Engagements may be structured as fixed-fee, hourly, retainer-based, or project-based.

  • Payments are milestone-based:

    • 25% upfront

    • 50% midway

    • 25% upon completion

  • Alternatively, if agreed upon by both parties, the full fee may be paid upfront.

  • Payments are due within 30 days (Net 30) of invoicing.

  • If an engagement is terminated, the client must pay the next upcoming milestone.

3. Deliverables & Satisfaction

  • Fable is committed to delivering high-quality work.

  • If a client is not satisfied, reasonable efforts will be made to rectify the output in a timely manner.

4. Confidentiality & Intellectual Property

  • NDAs can be arranged upon client request.

  • Theories, models, and methodologies remain the intellectual property of Fable.

  • Documents and results created for the client become the client's intellectual property.

5. Termination of Engagement

  • Either party may terminate the assignment with written notice.

  • Upon termination, the client must pay the next scheduled milestone.

6. Dispute Resolution

  • Any disputes will first be resolved through mediation.

  • If mediation is unsuccessful, disputes will be settled by binding arbitration.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • Fable’s total liability is limited to the total fees paid by the client for the specific engagement.

  • This limitation does not apply in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

8. Force Majeure

  • Fable is not liable for delays or failure to perform due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, cyberattacks, government regulations, or other unforeseeable events.

  • If a force majeure event continues for more than 30 days, the client may pause or terminate the engagement without further obligation beyond payments due for work already completed.

9. Late Payment Penalties

  • A 2% interest per month will be applied to overdue invoices.

  • Fable reserves the right to suspend work if payments are overdue for 2 months or more.

10. Governing Law

  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by Dutch law.
